REPP Academy to focus on scaling up mini-grids
A tailored workshop will be held next month to help ramp up the development of Sub-Saharan Africa’s mini-grid and isolated grid sectors.
From 11 to 14 October, REPP Academy 2021 – hosted by REPP’s investment manager, Camco Clean Energy – will provide an online knowledge-sharing platform and networking opportunities for REPP investees and key industry stakeholders.
The Academy is targeted at senior and management level staff and aims to provide an informal platform for the investees to explore the key challenges which slow down project development and identify potential solutions.
By bringing together developers as well as REPP project managers, industry experts and funders, the event seeks to mobilise the participants’ collective knowledge bank that can be leveraged to scale up mini-grid development across the region, thus supporting the implementation of SDG7.
Sessions will be delivered through a mix of short presentations and case studies, peer-to-peer learning sessions, group discussions, networking opportunities with industry experts and investors and one-on-one meetings with the REPP team.
Investors interested in attending the networking part of the event are invited to contact Ieva Indriunaite at ieva@camco.energy.
