Alfred Helm
Alfred is the corporate and financial adviser within the International Climate Finance (ICF) at the UK’s Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). He is a chartered accountant and development economist with over 25 years of experience in overseas development and substantial expertise in multilateral development banks, small island states and private sector development.
Prior to joining the civil service in 2016, Alfred worked as a financial adviser within the private sector department of the African Development Bank. Alfred has sat on numerous investment committees, as well as the Boards of PTA Bank, ABN Microfinance Bank (Nigeria) and the Caribbean Financial Services Commission, among others.
