Dear <<First Name>>

As the Africa Energy Forum wraps up in Brussels today, I wanted to give a shout out to organisers EnergyNet for putting on yet another excellent event. The last few days have been a whirlwind of meetings, talks, catch-ups and the occasional bit of sleep! It’s been a pleasure to see so many familiar faces again after a long time, and to make lots of exciting new contacts.

A highlight for me was welcoming Lesotho’s Minister of Energy and Meteorology, His Excellency Honourable Mohapi Mohapinyane, and the rest of the Lesotho delegation to the Camco stand.

Through our work as REPP’s investment manager, Camco has been supporting the Lesotho Government's vision for making the country a 100% clean energy hub in Africa for several years (see here for more) and has a long-term commitment to helping the government to achieve its ambitious climate and economic objectives. Meeting face-to-face with the delegates was the perfect opportunity to catch up and discuss how to further strengthen our partnership and work together to unlock the market for other investments.

Next year the AEF will be in mainland Africa (Kenya) for the first time in – extraordinarily – 23 years! I am looking forward to it already. In the meantime, it’s Alliance for Rural Electrification’s flagship Energy Access Investment Forum next week, which REPP is sponsoring. Camco’s Ieva Indriunaite and Rafikh Ismail will be there, with Ieva joining other industry experts for the event’s opening discussion. For more details on that, click here.

Cheers
