Friday, 2 October

Dear <<First Name>>

I often talk about the role off-grid renewables have in providing energy access to the many millions of unserved people across countries in Africa. Solar home systems, mini-grids and other small-scale technologies are already transforming communities across the continent and beyond, and have enormous potential to do more.

But of course as REPP’s manager our attention is also very much on on-grid technologies, and the majority of projects in the REPP portfolio are on-grid. In our latest request for proposals we are specifically targeting utility-scale projects, and in particular those that are very close to financial close but which need extra funding support to get them over the line.

Developers who get their bids in by 4pm on 19 October will receive priority assessment. And bids from companies owned by African nationals will get special attention.

If you have a project that meets this bill, then we want to hear from you!

Cheers,

Geoff
